MATTHEW LEONHART

Matthew Leonhart’s TV appearances include “Berlin Station” Season 2 portraying recurring character Tim Terkel. Feature film credits include 2024’s thriller “An Enemy Within”, sci-fi films “Man of The Cosmos”, “Wyrms”, 2020’s drama “As I Am”, 2017’s comedy “The Accidental Spy”. He’s performed in many award-winning short films such as “May You Never Die” and “Emily” both directed by Guy Davies.

Theatrical credits include, Tatsuo understudy for RSC’s “My Neighbour Totoro” (2022-2023 & 2023-2024 run at Barbican, London), lead role in the global tour of “Invisible Cities” (by 59 Productions & RAMBERT), lead male role in “Mountains: The Dreams of Lily Kwok” (at The Royal Exchange in Manchester) and “Peach Blossom Fan” (at REDCAT in Los Angeles, directed by Chen Shi-Zheng).

Puppetry credits include, lead Totoro puppeteer for “My Neighbour Totoro” (2022-2023 & 2023-2024 run at Barbican, London) “Invisible Glass” (REDCAT, LA), “The Lost Dreamachine” (HK Fringe Club), “Aurora” (Greenpeace Project), “Sinkin’ Soon” (Norah Jones MV), “Out of the Rain” (The Duhks MV), “Protagonist” (Sundance Film directed by Jessica Yu). “Too Loud A Solitude” (Tuck & Go Films). “Sick To My Bones” (Puppetry design), “May You Never Die” (Puppetry design).

Matthew’s voice can be heard in over 20 cartoons such as “Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood”, “Darker Than Black”, “Eureka 7”, and video games including the main villain Yang in the critically acclaimed game “Sifu”. In 2024 his voice will be heard in three major video game series. He’s also a former VJ for the popular Asia music TV show “Channel V”.
